So, I want to work on something like a territory that can be claimed or fought over, but before I get into all that I was wondering when I make this territory “Claimable” or “Claimed” would I use networked variables to store this information as it would have to be sent to the client aswell. Then again wouldn’t I also need an entity to set these variables on. Can someone clear this up for me please!
I would use an entity to represent each ‘territory’. No need for network library at all.
Add network fields such as Claimed to the entity using Data Table Variables
This is how it would be done in engine… and how it is done in games like CS:S and TF2.
