Weapon modeling help needed.

So, I have 3d max, I’ve made some models etc. (I have 3ds Max 9)
But right now I’d like to know how to open these files (Or more precisely, what file to open and what I need to open it.

Those are mdl files, you need to use an mdl decompiler like this one: http://www.chaosincarnate.net/cannonfodder/cftools.htm to convert them into smd files. You then need an smd import plugin for max so you can open them.

Do you know how to get the textures aswell ?

Textures are in another folder in the .vtf format, there’s a photoshop plugin for opening those, or you can use the standalone program VTF Edit to convert them to tga’s: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Photoshop_VTF_Plugin.
The folder for a model “models/weapons/x.mdl” is usually located at “materials/models/weapons/x/x.vtf”
