Weightmap screwup on Export?

So I’ve just re-weighted the Fusion Suit model to make a playermodel. When I load it from the .exp (scene) file, the weightmap’s near perfect, as you can kinda of see in this picture.

So then I export it, with only “Remove Top-Level Bone on Character Rig” check, and import the same .SMD to check for errors. The weightmap’s completely screwed up! How can I fix this?
