Me personally would think 2024 because the team said its very early in development.
In the middle-late 2022 most likely.
So I’m guessing dev preview stays this year and maybe a private Beta opens in 2023. I think it’d be wise if the official release came out in 2026. Especially considering where VR could be 2 years from now.
I’m a strong believer in the quote by Shigeru Miyamoto Nintendo’s creator.
- “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad. ”
You got the math wrong, dev preview will stay for 2022, 2023 will be closed beta, then in 2024 it will be a closed alpha, in 2025 they’ll have a setback and return to dev preview, where it’ll take until 2027 to regain their footing, in 2028 we’ll first see a glimpse of what an open beta might look like, but that won’t be until 2029.
Finally, in 2030, we’ll get the release of the game, panned by critics for being unfinished and clearly rushed.
I still hope that by the end of 2022 she will at least have a page in Steam…
2 Months later, when do you think the source2 sdk will officially release by valve?
