Why does this happen?


I compiled the maps and the shadows are fucked up like this. Why does this happen?

Are they displacements? Check he lightmap scale.

They’re not, and they were fine on last compile. They started doing it now.

Post the compile log?

Everything running on normal, right?

No leaks or anything correct? That’s definitely weird looking. It’s almost like the walls are giant models and are using vertex lighting or some shit. A leak is all I can imagine that would cause this, but post your compile log, or better yet, use Interlopers’ Error finder to seek out any compile errors that need fixing.

Don’t forgot to use the problem checker in Hammer as well.

Try a -final VRad compile. Often fixes dodgey shading issues.
