Windows couldn't find a file when compiling.

So I was tiring to compile my map when windows said it couldn’t find a file. Heres the log from when I tried to compile it.

The error means that vbsp.exe couldn’t finish, so it exited, automatically going onto the next process, which is vrad.exe.

Because vbsp.exe didn’t finish and therefore didn’t create anything, vrad.exe didn’t have anything to work with, thus the error “The system cannot find the file specified.”; the specified file was not completed because vbsp.exe gave up.

Meaning go to these coordinates (View > Go to coordinates), and plug these numbers in: -608.00 -208.00 124.50

And investigate. It was probably something you did.

It first moves to VVIS, then to VRAD. It’s the copy file command that says no file could be found. After the first compile of a map, it will just copy over the old version.

Go to the point mentioned in the compile log (I think it was Ctrl+Shift+G) and delete then remake the displacement there with the texture mentioned. Make sure it’s not triangular or 5+ sided.
