WIP: GoudX Nuclear Weapon (The other nuke)

Hi everyone, as some of you may know, long ago I created my own Nuke for Gmod. Now it is back and vastly superior!

This is still a working progress (albeit far into development), and I would like to hear suggestions and criticisms.

Future Plans:

-Add various methods of delivering nuke.
-Add “Star Wars” missile defense system.
-Different sizes (tactical and novelty)

Nuclear Yield:

Using the formula:

((4 / 3) * pi * (12 000^3)) / ((4 / 3) * pi * (100^3)) = 1 728 000

I worked out my nuke has a yield of 1.728Mb or in other words the same explosive area as 1,728,000 explosive barrels!

Using the energy values for a tonne of TNT and a Barrel of oil:

Barrel of Oil = 6.1178632 × 10^9
Tonne of TNT = 4.184×10^9

It can then be worked out the “real” equivalent power of the nuke.

1 728 000 x (6.11700 / 4.18400) = 2,526,332

So my nuke is a 2.5 megaton device!

It’s damn cool, but the thing i liked about the other nukes was the way it would undo welds, blowing contraptions all over the place. Does this have the same effect?

Make it destroy props that get a direct hit with in a radius or or say 1000 or so.

I would also like to see the constraint-breaking feature. Looking forward to the imaginative ways that this could be delivered.

this kicks ass, I think the flash when you set the nuke off should be a bit longer and it shouldn’t just go away in a…well, flash, and it should be like in a gun form, but other than that crap it was AMAZING, I love the pull in

why does it pull things into the exposion? Doesn’t make sense to me.

In reguards to certain comments:

It pulls objects back in due to the covection currents caused by the immense heat. Which is also what pushes the mushroom cloud upwards. Watch a video of a nuke on youtube and you’ll see.

No, because I didn’t know what I had to put to undo constraints, so it would require copying Teta.

While I could, if they get removed they can’t get sent flying, I’ll see what the consensus is for removing then props.

For that last point, I say make another version of your nuke, one that applies GCombat damage to affected props. But keep them seperate for the people that don’t have GCombat and/or don’t want the nuke destroying props.
