Zoey's Last stand. messed up edit it sucks ass

My first edit. It is… terrible the muzzle flash is too blurry, there is no bullet hole, and i left some remains of the muzzleflash first layer on the pic. C&C now! that’s my first attempt of editing a picture. Tell me what i have to change(don’t be mister obvious details people) or i shall eat the last piece of pie, left on the kitchen table.

Muzzle flash is to soft and blurry. Light is bland and cam angle boring. Work on those. Posing could have been worse I guess.

yeah i guess thanks for the critisism

The flash isn’t following the line of the pistol’s barrel.

Also, there’s a random white line at Zoey’s ankles.

The pose is great, very cinematic and i like the angle, although for action shots like this it is really effective to slightly tilt it to one side.

As for the editing; the muzzleflash has the right shape it just needs a bit more definition and perhaps a little orange’er (yes it’s a word :ohdear:). Perhaps play around with filter -> render -> lighting effects, set it to Omni and center it on the muzzleflash, this can sometimes work very well in emphasizing certain effects … Although often it has the opposite effect so be careful.

(i’m assuming you use photoshop)

Shading lighting coming from the muzzleflash is also good. A nice coloured brush tool which matches the colour of the muzzleflash on a very low opacity looks good when you shade the right areas. An alternative to this is Dodge & Burn.

… If you don’t use photoshop (well, and even if you do) check out Chesty’s tutorial here

It is extremely useful.

Overall, i like it but needs some work, keep at it

Nice observation when i was editing the muzzle flash i wasn’t sure about it’s angle, and i forgot to erase that annoying white line.

I’ll give a lot of attention, to your post. I appreciate that thank you.

Why don’t I get criticism like this? :v:
