I didn't end up playing The New Colossus but I wasn't under the impression it was perceived as bad? What was bad about it?
I love coop games though so this does appeal to me.
It was a bit short and the story was lackluster compared to the first. But it was still a solid game overall
This looks fantastic, love the style they're going with.
yeah those dialogues are nothing to write home about
Looks... ok? Reveals a bit too much of what happens after Wolf 2 maybe. Also not a fan of the reused weapon and enemy assets.
The alt-right were pretty upset with it, because MachineGames added too much "SJW bullshit".
For me a lot of the problem was in the level design, it catered far too heavily to these new gimmick mechanics and was missing a lot of the detail TNO had. The story was also extremely tonally inconsistent and gameplay was basically if doom enemies consisted of nothing but chaingunners.
I like how the alt-right thinks killing Nazis is SJW bullshit
This looks like a total blast, can't wait to play this with someone
I don't like this music with Wolfenstein, it's good music, but not Mick Gordon.
So glad to hear Carpenter Brut in a trailer like this
Don't worry, it's just for the trailer.
Looks good! I had some problems with new colossus (mostly in terms of game difficulty), but this looks about on par or even better!
It wasn't bad, just "anti-SJW" being upset with it for the usual reasons.
This will have cosmetic Micro-transactions, but no Lootboxes.
The Buddy pass system allows you to play with anyone who doesn't own the game, and they can play with you throughout the entire game for Free.
The funny thing is that the """sjw bullshit""" that they bitched about wasn't even actually in the game
It's just an expansion but yea, a little disappointed that there's only one new weapon in the trailer and it's essentially just a reskin of a TNC gun.
The ending was meh and the story had odd pacing.
Wouldn't be Surprised if Wolfenstein 3 is What happens to BJ during the events of this game
I really only recall some people not liking Grace Walker in TNC for some reason. I never really understood why.
And yeah, those same detractors are already in the comments, calling Youngblood a "feminist circlejerk."
My issues with TNC weren't so much its story, but more the level design I felt wasn't as good, and the difficulty went from being extremely tough from fun on the highest difficulty, to absolute unfun bullshit. It's best to play TNC one notch below the highest, in my opinion.
Youngblood looks interesting, but since it's a co-op game, I'm definitely going to wait for some reviews and impressions first.
I went from liking to having a mild distaste of The New Colossus overtime, the more I play it the more I see how they broke the pacing, balance and design of the game which is a shame since The New Order and The Old Blood were some of my most favorite games.
I like the concept from this trailer and co-op is a plus, I just hope they learned from the mistakes they made from TNC. Also nice use of Turbo Killer as the trailer music.
I enjoyed it for the 29hrs it took for me to beat it (I spent at least 1.5hrs trying to pass a stealth section that I swear took me minute execution & geometric abuse to pass successfully, plus I was keenly exploring the U-Boat for all the unique names & voices on-board), but for what high points it has (The use of Mick Gordon's music is one for me), it definitely has quite the lows.
It's a game I personally call "imbalanced", as it's story tone & pacing wobbles much more on it's tight-rope walk than The New Order or The Old Blood did, and the gameplay saw stealth much more difficult to pull off flexibly or even successfully with guns blazing too health-melting even on modest difficulties to be encourageable (New AI behaviours during stealth, often open levels that made breaking line of sight difficult, and alarm-raisers placement being very far to reach which reduced the flexibility of play The New Order & The Old Blood enjoyed in "Adjusting the Volume" of combat).
Speaking for myself, I'm rather surprised The New Order wasn't followed-up by BJ's kid(s) taking on Engel in a "The New Revolution" or something, but I am nonetheless in playing a version of The New Colossus that lets me share the carnage with a mate (Especially if Mick Gordon returns to compose the music!).
Cringeworthy dialogue, good god.
Cringeworthy dialog, but the gameplay look super fun.
Also, I expected Blascowitz daughters to look a little bit more, well, sexy and buff, since Blascowitz himself is.. peak male performance. And re-using the suit is kind of not interesting, would have loved a new main
mechanic.
Apparently it has new RPG mechanic, notably the game being an open world with Paris as the setting so that's pretty cool. I'll get that ASAP, it doesn't do new thing but it does give you the wolfenstein experience.
People strawmanning? Shocking!
50hp for an entire half of the game, level design being boring and repetitive where the devs tried to lengthen the game by reusing same levels but backwards. Only 1 KKK member to kill in a boring shitty stealth level.
I personally like the story but thought the tone was inconsistent at times like having toilet humour at a serious moment. I also did not like how Hitler was portrayed if only because with Frau Engel and Deathshead dead there aren't any interesting main villains anymore. Also the ending was really sudden and I was really expecting a much more dramatic encounter with Engel when she realizes that you're fucking ALIVE after being beheaded.

all coop games should have a dedicated thumbs up button tbh.
