i mean their gdc video from a few years back shows theyve obviously made some progress https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cw2gXq83n8
That's about the only part of the story I can remember and not for any reasons the devs would have wanted me to. I remember it because as soon as the fight started I saw where it was going and even said to my friend that whats-his-name was going to get killed. When you have an entire game filled with psychotic people it's hard to sell that Jack is someone I should think is any worse. Now that I think about it, the only thing that made me feel anything towards Jack is what he did to Mordecai's bird. Really, the only bit of the story I felt was well written was Dragon Keep. Maybe it's because I didn't play BL1 and they rely heavily on you already being invested in the characters that the story fell flat for me. But even Jack felt like a bland quip-spewing wannabe Deadpool without what makes Deadpool an interesting character.
That said, I think she's definitely the most visually interesting solider character we have seen so far. Her punky Tank Girl thing kinda offsets some of the military blandness, and I like how you can see the contrast between the various Intergalactic Mega-Corporations from just looking at their Vault hunting renegades. Roland is ex-ATLAS Crimson lance- and has the whole generic space marine look. Axton is Ex-Dahl- and has a more contemporary military aesthetic with a sci-fi spin on it. Wilhelm was a Hyperion solider- and he was a cybernetic freak shock trooper. And this new girl looks to be associated with Vladof, and she has this scuffed up freedom fighter aesthetic going on. Vladof has always been a Corporation I've wanted to know more about, because the idea of a soulless Mega-corp co-opting propaganda techniques used by revolutionaries to advertise their weaponry to an intergalactic market is just so fucking dystopian.
Oh neat, that looks like a Polycount pin on the beastmaster robot
He lost his personality in 2 He went from "oh HELL yeah, it's like Christmas!" to "welcome soldier. excellent work. your contribution is appreciated. fight on." I was so disappointed. Brick, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Boring, minimal character in BL1, to becoming bandit leader in BL2? I can buy that.
Seeing the Vault hunters from 2 becoming NPCs has me kinda worried. I got a feeling one of them is gonna die.
Rhys and Zer0 don't really give me "friendly" vibes either
the rule34 crowd are going to shit themselves.
There's probably already porn of longhair Maya.
The only design that kinda stands out to me is that beefy siren.
This is probably my biggest concern. I don't wanna fight my boy Rhys ;~;
Yeah mixed messages, but from what i've seen from someone looking at the "Mask of Madness" poster from the other day and the fact they're listed amongst "friends" i think it will be okay too.
Oh yay, more thoughtless critique of a game based, not on the game, but only on public perception of it are we literally ever going to stop repeating easily disproved bullshit?
Also he is just playing the saxophone. Unless you mean to imply anyone playing a sax is an epic sax meme.
The one in the right behind them does, did she steal them from Lilith?
The girl antagonist is already one of the six sirens, or so we are told
Might have something to do with how the guy gets his powers.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see how that pans out then.
