I'm glad Ross is around. He fights for a topic that everyone supports, but no one cares enough to think about until it becomes a problem.
Well part of the reason why it's easy to support is that it's beyond reasonable both from a consumer and a developer standpoint, and as a bonus he goes over complaints that they may have. My personal hope before any laws are written is that some developer will pump out an end of life plan just to show how easy the task is.
It's already one of his more popular videos - the only videos on his channel with more views are the earlier episodes of Freeman's Mind (and the finale, and Freeman's Mind 2), a few Game Dungeons, and a single episode of Civil Protection. Most of those videos are several years old - the fact that it's gone so far so quickly is wild for his channel.
