I've been out of the loop on this. Watched the trailer assuming it was a TV series or something. God, how can the CGI be this shit on a James Cameron movie in 2019?
Each movie might be of the same universe but the timelines are different, so different stories, like Salvation, they don't primarily use energy weapons in that movie, they use Ballistic weapons too, whereas in Terminator 1 and 2's future, you see them primarily using energy weapons, different futures and shit, so really with the way the timelines work in these movies, how they branch off into their own thing (besides Genisys's fast forward part way into the movie), they could just keep making movies till the end of time, no pun intended.
Honestly if they got some good writers in and a good director then I'd very much enjoy that, although I do want more future stuff since it's always interesting to see how they survive, I also would like to see a future in which Skynet actually wins, but they wouldn't make a movie about humanity get wiped out because lol too sad or something.
Timeline is totally fucked already, I can;t follow anythin after the first two films, and the laste few made were just so crap that even if this one is good I'm just not gonna care.

Salvation was very promising as it was based on this ( and the movie itself wasn't bad if we ignore some stuff ) but sadly the planned arc got dropped ( in fact Salvation was supposed to be the name of the 3rd and last movie and somehow someone mixed up the names with the first one, never bothering to fix it ).
I have mixed feelings, but I can't say no to that old Connor kicking ass.
I loved that video man... Thanks for posting
What is it with Skynet and creating clearly inferior models of the T-1000.
The theory put forth is that the 'updated models' are models designed for the War with Humanity, not for going back in time.
It essentially already sent back its best model and that not only was defeated but it was then reprogrammed and sent to protect the very people that would lead to Skynet's defeat.
In a very human way, its throwing everything at the wall to see if something will stick.
At least we don't have to deal with John Connor in this movie.
Like, it's a trailer. haven't we all been over this before? Trailers are bad at showing us things representative of the actual film.
It's a bad trailer but I don't think it's going to be a bad movie
I actually liked Salvation, Genesys and could posibly like this one as far as action and plot goes. As standalone movies and part of the Terminator mythos they (4&5) do work when you consider they're nothing but action movies and any kind of character development is just a byproduct of bullets hitting metal covered in fleshy bits.
T3 however is god awful in every single aspect. I'm glad its just universally panned as crap.
I am still utterly confused why can't they make movie based on the future warfare?
Basically this but feature length movie?

Everyone I know wants future warfare Terminator movie with same atmosphere as the one in T2.
Salvation was future but the whole atmosphere felt all wrong.
they're going to have Edward Furlong John Connor in flashbacks

CG in this trailer is astonishingly bad.
"tencent pictures"
hard fucking pass
in the books and the show it's because the T-1000s were too smart for Skynet to reliably control, so they weren't mass-produced and eventually got discontinued. which makes sense i guess, T-800s have their neural net processors disabled for the same reason
Dude like every single comment you've made on this site in the past 4 months has been you judging other people for not liking whatever thing is posted in the videos section.
You're literally just playing contrarian to everyone else's contrarian. I know you're going for the "down to earth, reasonable" angle or whatever; but it just comes off as you venting your frustration without actually believing what you're saying. You alright?
For fucks sake why, did genesys and salvation not fail hard enough? Just let it rest.
That just came to my head (from my memory): How hard us it to just wrap around a robot with dynamites and then just run towards Sarah in a restaurant like a kamikaze and BOOM! Allahu-Skynet, baby!
Waayy better. Like holy shit Genisys trailers were warning sign to stay the hell away. This one? Ehhhhhhh...They brought back my 2nd favorite character from Terminator 2?
It does look okay, but man do I HAVE to watch Genisys? Will I be confused about Arnold being in the present? Is John Connor still important? So it's The Skynet one, then the T-1000 lady sent to protect Sarah, but has Sarah been fighting for a while? What has she been doing the past years since Judgement Day? Will we ever get to see the T2 opening in true form and not what happened in Salvation?
I will always maintain that this is the canon ending to the series. It is so hopeful and carries such a powerful, poetic message: learning the value of human life from a machine made to kill.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgUsMkbipQQ
But I guess this just isn't canon, and Judgement Day has to happen regardless like they said in T3. Except T3 itself didn't happen so I don't know what's going on. If this new film is set in present day (ten years before the above clip where she's an old grandma) then it means that no matter what Sarah is never going to live to see the end of the war with the machines that T2 itself envisioned as nearly 32 years long. But who cares, keep cranking out more mindless action flicks and dredging up geriatric faces because nostalgia sells more than originality ever could.
Well i'm skeptic. But from what i've seen and heard about this film. James Cameron is directly involved, and i remember he was talking about this film as being the one that finishes the series off on a Good Note.
Is it just me, or at 2:12 did they use the "splat" stock sound effect?
I would honestly be happy if they used the deleted alt ending from T2, to end off the movie
They would have figured out how to shit out a sequel regardless using time travel as an excuse. Having the happy ending would have just made the sequels even worse.
How is the CG so bad? The morphing fx is like B-movie grade. The terminator jumping looks like a scene from a game..
Like look at this (1:30) and tell me the effects are not better in damn near every single way
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTCEWAraUzI&feature=youtu.be&t=95
Reminder that this film came out in 1991.
Although, this movie is 6 months away. The CGI could end up looking not AS bad as this trailer.
Maybe they just don't give a shit, like they're doing it but they don't 100% care about it
The new terminator sounds like he's made of flubber and it bothers me
Gotta get that Chinese movie money.
When sarah smashes it's leg, the sound effect is straight up the loony toons goop cartoon effect.
