Then you need to try rephrasing your arguments in ways that don't come off as trolling because so far nothing you've said in this thread has made any real sense. You're looking at a person who makes undoubtedly anti semetic and racist cartoons, and admits to being those things on social media, and the best you can fart out is "definitely leaning right". Come on dude. Unless your argument is some weak "but we don't know him irl" which is irrelevant because no sane person would go to these lengths while not being a racist themselves. Why waste time making jew comics as a joke when you can go spam gas the kikes on twitter or something.
His tweet about the "So what" to being a nazi is clear as day a sign he is a nazi. How are you missing this
If you act like a far right fascist, speak like a far right fascist, promote far right fascist ideologies, and generally do everything in your power to appeal to far right fascists like you, you're a far right fascist. Doesn't matter if he's doing it for money or not. His career still revolves around validating bad people with bad ideologies and pipelining more people into extremist viewpoints.
you've not argued in good faith here nor there. I think it's fair of me to demand some sort of concrete argumentation or admission.
I think the most important lesson the internet (or most of this forum at least) learned over the last few years is that irony is an extremely effective way to make your toxic ideology more palatable to less informed people. When nothing you say means anything concrete you can just bend and twist words for any purpose. Pair that with a façade of relatability and you've got an updated, more effective Der Stürmer. I hope SaladToss finds out they also hung the publisher of that at Nuremberg.
People like to test the waters for certain things with irony, because of the grey area it provides. It's basically a mental safe space from which you can easily back out of, and this applies to way more than just ideology. Anything involving long term commitment is typically approached if possible with this kind of mindset because it just makes it easier. It becomes a problem with people decide to abuse that leeway we're built to work with to influence people by turning this safe space against them.
A lot of good points and interesting takeaways but damn was it hard to watch the whole thing, I get stonetoss is a neo nazi shit but am I the only one noticing this guy doing the exact thing hes saying stonetoss does but replaced with his own views? Slipping in comments like "There should be no borders or countries because its true" as a parallel to stonetoss's views as if that somehow disguises it.
Agreed, thoughtslime sullied an otherwise fine PSA about a dumb little comic that is occasionally funny and frequently racist with a few of his fringe opinions that didn't really belong in this video. He's pretty much done Stonetoss some free advertising with this video. In my opinion, it would've been better to say something along the lines of "you may have seen a few of these comics around, but there are far more by the artist that are perhaps more problematic than you may be comfortable with. If you are uncomfortable with these, please stop sharing his content, as the traffic only ensures that he'll continue to make them, and get support for them" Rather than a bunch of bad takes, and shitty interpretations of a few jokes
Hating jewish people because 2000 years ago they allegedly killed a person who may have never even existed in the first place is not reasonable or sane
Let's compare how open the two of them are about their politics https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/172/fcc79d30-2842-41e4-bbef-8227385b6822/image.png Here's definitely-not-a-Nazi Stonetoss referencing "The Great Replacement", a white supremacist theory about Jews orchestrating the end of the white population (most recently made infamous by the NZ shooter that gunned down innocent muslim families in broad daylight, and made it the title of his manifesto). Cryptic as all hell, and only makes sense if intended to resonate with a Nazi audience that's already familiar with both these numbers, and with this shit-for-brains theory Now let's see how much Thought Slime hides his politics. From his Patreon: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/172/8e9a4f67-728d-45a9-ba3e-37cec1544098/image.png Uh yeah "Doing the exact same thing" lol fuck no?? You're drawing a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge false dichotomy here by saying the guy that tries to popularize eugenics, genocide, and Nazi ideology is the same as some YT lefty. Even if you're not comparing their politics, but only how much they hide it - Thought Slime clearly could not hide it any less, so the comparison is still as false as it can be. I get the desire to point out that he includes his own politics in the video but Jesus H Christ, man, you can disagree with those parts without creating this blatantly false "both sides" idea
Stonetoss couldn't be more blatant than if he had an essay on why white people are the best as someone who jokes about these things almost too much, and very much knows how these jokes work, his jokes are very much set up like a true ideology and not just some meme. He has very specific references that only a nationalist would make and nobody else. They use this language and jokes to 'mask' their ideas because just saying this shit in front of normies makes it TOO obviously. They aren't fucking stupid. You don't just openly talk about the great replacement dude.
Are you okay?
Yeah? I know it's weird, but I enjoy talking politics
It's the "Enlightened Centrist" approach aka Both sides have good people.
StoneToss once quote-tweeted me to call a choker necklace I was wearing at my graduation 'BDSM gear', and that's all I have to say about him.
The edits of his comics are amazing https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58149/6f428c84-ccb8-47ec-abd9-2cf96e5ca56d/image.png can't find the non gun version of this
I don't get why people don't understand how someone could enjoy talking about a subject its almost as if they don't have conversations or something
Honestly when Thought Slime said there needs to be no borders, no nations, etc. I did a bit of a double take, I mean that's a little bit extreme isn't it? Obviously not as extreme as Nazi-ism but it's about as extreme left as you can get without becoming a tankie. Was it really necessary to put that in the video? It just makes it a bit harder to digest.
Have you seen the EU ? It's pretty much almost that. The only border is the outer one.
We still have borders and nations though, they just don't affect trade and travel.
Yeah but that's still a border though. And there are still nations.
this one's my favorite https://i.redd.it/oemhctkh1ng21.jpg
You'd have to be an absolute monkey to miss 99% of what stonetoss puts in those comics. Sure a few might be the kind of thing only those in that kind of circle would understand but given that the majority of other ones are just flatly open about it I don't think its an unfair comparison to make given a few of the comments slime made were rather subtle to someone like me who isn't heavily invested in the circles he covers. I don't care what 'other' facists do or what anyone else does. My comment is exclusive to this video and the contents involved, nothing more.
Abolishing borders is a hard left stance, not even necessarily Tankie as iirc the communist countries under and after Stalin did not have completely open international borders with each other.
The comics vary (Stonetoss being less obvious than Redpanels), plenty are cryptic as all hell and pander to a very niche audience, the most circulated ones (like the fetish comic) have no political association at all, so there's a lot of people getting a positive first impression with the latter, then wanting to dismiss the Nazi accusations as fake outrage. Sure, if they look through it all, they won't miss the racist subtext, but it's still subtext. No character is looking at the reader and saying "by the way, blacks are inferior", which is how you get people like SpartanXC9 claiming Stonetoss is probably playing an edgy character, baiting for outrage, being provocative and politically incorrect. It's content that banks on obfuscation and that's what my tangent about those other people was about. I agree like I did from the start, that I'd prefer it if this guy had left his politics out of it. But when I put his and Stonetoss' ideas head-to-head, despite the fact they can both be described as extreme, I can't in good conscience agree that they're doing "the exact same thing" just on opposite sides of the fence. A guy that wants all borders opened up right this minute is naive, and has more idealism than brains. But a guy that wants blacks treated as subhuman animals is riding on a simply disgusting level of malice. I know I'm being pedantic, but I think it's an important point to make.
The irony is strong with StoneToss. He uses his comics to denounce the hypocrisy of the left (and to be honest, that's a fair goal) but in doing it, he's pushing his decidedly far-right ideology in a hypocrite way. StoneToss in a nutshell: Liberal: "The right is bad!" StoneToss (very smart): "Hmm, but aren't you also bad?" LEFT WING DESTROYED Except his end point is "it's okay to be racist/sexist/anti-semitic/homophobic/transphobic because liberals are stoopid" and I'm always glad to see the amazing mental gymnastics he performs to justify that.

This has no right to be as funny as it is.
What's so shocking about that? Identifying ourselves as a species and not isolated entities will be pretty much essential if we hope to survive more than a couple hundred years more. It's an ancient sci-fi trope, even.
