You could see his face in Doom and Doom 2 as well.
You could see his face in Doom 3 as well.
But we don't talk about Doom 3.
Doom 3 ain't bad, just different.
i was just joking around jeez
I will have you know that I own 50 deluxe editions box set of doom 3 and 10 figurines and my entire room is painted in doom 3's style and any mention about doom 3 that is not religiously flattering towards it sends me into an uncontrollable rage that lasts for 30 minutes.
While the rest of the Bethesda conference was plagued by completely uninformative CG trailers, Doom's story trailer manages to be 90% gameplay
Shit like this is why I still bother watching E3 at all
not as emphasised as in this trailer, here it seems like a much more intended thing.
but i was silly to forget that the marine's face was instrumental to Doom 1 & 2 - maybe they want a modern version of the marine's face becoming more damaged over time.
even so I still think it's weird to hear pain noises like I said in my original post, it is inherently distracting, surely as this character you want to feel unstoppable as that's what your whole character is based on, and the minecraft pain grunts make that difficult to do
It was said in an interview earlier this year, or maybe late last year that there will be some third person cutscenes and more NPC interaction in this one.
This might have been said but for some reason it reminds me a lot of Quake 4 (which isn't a good thing in 2019)
We will finally get to choose whether to fuck Garrus or Tali.
just pointing this out by the way

same voice as in the trailer
Hmm, really not sure why they changed the HUD. Looking at the Quakecon footage, it was damn near perfect.
I still don't like the shoulder mounted weapon or the forearm blade, they're too slick and 'cool'.
I just hope he gains them in some way, and doesn't instantly start with them. "Oh, this would kill demons better, time to strap it on." Rip it off some UAC zombie soldier corpse and affix it to himself.
The new locations are kinda reminiscent of the Quake 1 atmosphere, only without a brown tint to it. I've always wanted a new Quake game in the vein of the first game, since it's so unique, and the following Quake games follow the second game even more. I guess they're in Doom now. I can't wait to see how this new locations look and play.
Honestly something tells me the voice belongs to an Angel or some being from Heaven.
The 'angels' aren't literally divine if my understanding of Doom 2016 is correct, the 'Seraphim' of Sentinel Prime are a cyber augmented race that engineers warriors to fight Hell.
I didn't play the multiplayer, and considering the lack of mural and sculpture translations suggest few else did
I seriously don't like the "its a videogame!!!" aspect they're giving it, like the spinny greeny weapons and pickups, colorful hud, "oof" sounds
Doom 2016 was already a video game without all of the above
You should've played the MP it was a blast despite being outsourced. It still has a player base but servers aren't as stable as they were. Honestly thinking of hopping back into it for the months leading up to Eternal.
Despite it lacking some basic MP features you'd expect in a Doom game, like being able to switch teams, a chat system that doesn't suck (You can't even use it in lobbies), and a server browser, I agree it's still a ton of fun and I play it regularly.
It's actually pretty populated nowadays ever since update 6.66, which improved it so much (Not to mention making all DLC's free and integrating/rebalancing them). I usually have no trouble with finding a match, even in the totally underrated gamemodes outside of deathmatch.
Here's hoping they bring back a revamped version of it in Doom Eternal. The new slayer versus demons Battlemode looks fun, but I just really want that MP in a new coat of paint.
